Network Ten today announced the sponsors for its 2015 V8 Supercars season, which starts on TEN this Friday, February 27, with the Clipsal 500, live and free from Adelaide.

TEN’s coverage of one of the most iconic sports in Australia will be backed by some of the country’s biggest companies, including Supercheap Auto, Armor All, Shannons, Shell Helix, Penrite, Harvey Norman and Steel Blue Boots.

Network Ten will bring viewers the six biggest V8 Supercars Championship races: the Clipsal 500, Townsville 500, Sandown 500, Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, Gold Coast 600 and Sydney 500. In addition, comprehensive highlights programs of the other V8 Supercars races will run on ONE and TEN on Saturdays and Sundays.

Matt White will lead the Network Ten motorsport commentary team along with recently retired Formula 1® legend Mark Webber, former Formula 1® World Champion winner Alan Jones and expert commentators Daryl Beattie, Rick Kelly, Mark Larkham and more.

Network Ten Chief Sales Officer, Louise Barrett, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Supercheap Auto, Armor All, Shannons, Shell Helix, Penrite, Harvey Norman and Steel Blue Boots to our V8 Supercars coverage and thank them for their support and passion.

“Network Ten will be the only place where advertisers and sponsors can reach viewers across the best six races, and the level of demand has been extraordinary. If people want to see the six biggest V8 Supercars events for free – starting with one of the most exciting races of the season, the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide – the only place to see them is on TEN.”

Network Ten Head of Sport, David Barham, said: “V8 Supercars are coming home to Network Ten in 2015, cementing our standing as the home of big event motorsport. Everyone at Ten is looking forward to bringing all the live action, thrills, drama and excitement of the biggest V8 Supercars events to all Australians on free-to-air television.

“Our expert commentary team – which includes Australian favourite, Mark Webber – ensures that our coverage of the V8 Supercars will be a first-class television experience for viewers.

“The return of the beloved magazine program RPM underlines our long-term commitment to motorsport. Week in, week out motorsport on Ten at Sundays, 4pm, clearly demonstrates our determination to deliver premium motorsport on free-to-air television,” he said.

Armor All Senior Vice President & Managing Director – Australia & New Zealand, Paul Blair, said: “Everyone at Armor All is excited to be teaming up with Network Ten for the V8 Supercars coverage.

“This year we are celebrating 10 years of sponsoring the V8 Supercars and, like Network Ten, motorsport is part of our DNA. We are confident that Network Ten will deliver an exciting experience for the viewers.”

Shannons Marketing Manager, Mark Behr, said: “We are very pleased to announce our sponsorship of Formula 1® and V8 Supercars on Network Ten. The free-to-air telecasts of Formula 1® and V8 Supercars are an important way for Shannons to connect with our motoring enthusiast customers. Shannons has a long association with F1 and V8s, in addition to our support of over 1,000 enthusiast events around Australia. We are really looking forward to this year's race season.”

Nick Lubransky, Shell Helix Brand Manager for Viva Energy, said: “Shell has had a long relationship with V8 Supercars in Australia and we are excited to see the return of V8 Supercars to TEN and to be a part of it.

“This relationship aligns with the recent announcement of our sponsorship with DJR Team Penske for the 2015 V8 Supercars Championship, where the iconic #17 Ford Falcon FG X driven by Marcos Ambrose will roll out onto the track in full Shell Helix livery at the Clipsal 500. I am a motorsport enthusiast, and so I am personally very excited that Shell Helix can be part of the Network Ten broadcast of such a great sport, and look forward to a great season of racing.”

Network Ten is set to transform Australian motorsport coverage in 2015 with guaranteed coverage 10 months of the year.

Network Ten will be the home of big event motorsport, bringing fans six live V8 Supercars Championship races, live Formula One races, live MotoGP races, V8 Supercars highlights programs and the return of Australia’s favourite motorsport panel show, RPM.
