2016 ANZ Championship on Network Ten and ONE

In a surprising move Network Ten has announced it will move the ANZ Championship away from ONE into all markets except WA.

Network Ten is trying to build on the success of its coverage of the Netball World Cup which was a ratings hit for the network and FOX Sports.

“Following a review at the conclusion of the 2015 season, we’ve worked closely with our teams and broadcast partners, SKY Sport, FOX SPORTS and Network Ten, to deliver a season for the fans,” ANZ Championship General Manager Andy Crook said.

Network Ten will broadcast the 12.00 Afternoon slot live into all markets, except Perth who will get action on ONE.

In a boost for the league, Network Ten has confirmed that Thunderbirds matches will be shown live on free to air on Channel Ten, following a shift from One.

“The Thunderbirds will have unprecedented exposure on the national stage, with five of our fixtures shown live on free to air television in Australia, on Channel Ten” Scales said. “This is great news for our fans, our sponsors, and the sport in South Australia."
