REPORT: BIKES and V8s in calendar clash

V8 Supercars had finalised their calendar first before MotoGP, which has led to 2 massive clashes on the calendars. One is the Gold Coast 600 and the other is the Australian MotoGP.

Being on the same weekend will cause a massive headache for Network Ten who is committed to televising both on the main channel rather then One and Ten.

Fairfax has reported that discussions have been made with Dorna and AGPC to agree on some sort of arrangement that would enable Network Ten to show both live, without having the Australian MotoGP on One and Gold Coast 600 on Ten.

V8s have reportedly asked for the Phillip Island MotoGP race to be move forward from the 4pm time slot to 2pm or 3pm, which will allow the 300km race following the conclusion of the 45 minute motorcycle race to 3pm or 4pm.

Ten Sport has said they haven't decided on what they will do.

"We're looking at the scheduling issue and will announce our full motor sport scheduling in early 2016," a spokesperson said.
